Projection Novel (Completed) - Chapter 108
“If you feel too much pressure… you know those things like… wearing ribbons on your head… Maybe Section Chief Cheon would like that too?”
But at this, Sejin couldn’t hold back anymore. His face hardened, and he immediately retorted.
“Cheon Sejoo doesn’t have such perverted tastes.”
“Hey, are you saying someone has perverted tastes?”
Yoon Heesu’s voice began to rise, but Sejin had nothing more to say. He shrugged and turned to leave. “Thanks anyway,” he said, turning back to express his gratitude once more, then walked out. Behind him, a shout suddenly rang out:
“Our Director isn’t a pervert either!”
In Sejin’s eyes, that was indeed a harmless kind of perversion. What normal person would like men wearing women’s lingerie?
Cheon Sejoo would probably never think of such things. Just imagining himself wearing women’s lingerie and standing in front of Cheon Sejoo made him feel like Cheon Sejoo would laugh until he choked, not be aroused.
And come to think of it, Heesu’s later suggestion about the ribbon made more sense. If he tied a ribbon on his head and waited, maybe Cheon Sejoo would smile gently, call him cute, and slowly untie it layer by layer as if opening a gift…
“What are you thinking so deeply about?”
“Huh?”
The familiar voice suddenly startled Sejin, and he turned his head. Work finished late today, and as usual, Cheon Sejoo came to pick him up.
Sitting in Cheon Sejoo’s car on the way home, Sejin was still engrossed in thinking about what to do for his upcoming birthday. Such wandering thoughts, of course, did not escape Cheon Sejoo’s notice.
“You’re hard.”
While Sejin was lost in thought, Cheon Sejoo calmly began to caress him. He touched the nape of his neck, played with his earlobe, and when Sejin didn’t react, he slipped his hand inside his shirt to fondle his nipples, then unhesitatingly touched his lower body.
His penis was so hard it felt like it was about to rip through his pants, yet Sejin was still distracted. Cheon Sejoo smiled crookedly, squeezing the smooth glans as if to burst it, and asked:
“Sitting next to your handsome lover, what’s on your mind?”
Only then did Sejin realize the pleasure radiating from below. His face flushed, he quickly pulled Cheon Sejoo’s hand away and adjusted his clothes, then took Cheon Sejoo’s still warm hand and asked:
“Cheon Sejoo.”
“About before, the people you used to be with…”
Cheon Sejoo raised an eyebrow at the unpleasant topic. He loosened his left hand from the steering wheel, leaned back in his seat, and glanced over as if asking, “What are you curious about now?”
Sejin himself wasn’t interested in asking such things, but if what he was planning to do happened to coincide with the “events” his ex-lovers or one-night stands had done, his mood would surely plummet. So he needed to confirm a little.
“Have they ever… done things like organize events for you?”
“…?”
Cheon Sejoo didn’t understand immediately, tilting his head to ask again. His reaction suggested he wasn’t thinking of the kind of “event” Sejin was implying.
Or had no one ever done that for him, so he couldn’t make the connection?
Sejin pondered for a moment, then tried to clarify:
“Like… wearing lingerie… and waiting for you…”
Upon hearing this, Cheon Sejoo frowned tightly as if he couldn’t believe his ears. After a moment, he chuckled, turned to look at Sejin, withdrew his hand from Sejin’s, gently touched Sejin’s cheek, and smiled wryly:
“What nonsense did you hear that makes you ask such things?”
“Just answer.”
“Are you interrogating me?”
At Cheon Sejoo’s leisurely tone, trying to change the subject, Sejin puffed out his cheeks, his lips clearly pouting. Seeing his sulking expression, Cheon Sejoo almost burst out laughing but managed to hold it in, reaching out his hand again to gently stroke Sejin’s cheek and replied:
“No. Of course not. Do you think I’m that kind of crazy pervert?”
“…A little bit.”
“…”
Cheon Sejoo was speechless at his honest answer, just staring at Sejin. Was there anyone else in this world with normal sexual preferences like him? — it was just that Sejin was too conservative. Compared to others, his preferences were boringly normal.
Cheon Sejoo turned back to continue driving, shaking his head and laughing helplessly.
“No, never, but why are you suddenly asking?”
“It’s fine if there isn’t.”
Sejin didn’t explain further, just turned his face to look out the window. That attitude of not wanting to share anything made Cheon Sejoo feel a slight pang in his heart. But to extract the truth, he would have to bring up past relationships, and that topic alone was awkward enough.
And now that he thought about it… Christmas was coming soon. Don’t tell me Sejin was secretly preparing something for that day? Cheon Sejoo glanced at him with an unreadable expression. Lately, Sejin seemed to be deep in thought. He had thought it was due to preparing for enlistment, but it could also be that he was preparing something for Christmas.
But… women’s lingerie…
Cheon Sejoo frowned slightly, unable to imagine Sejin wearing such a thing. Even if he wore it in front of him, he wouldn’t be aroused, only perhaps rolling on the floor laughing because it was too funny.
Last year, Sejin had once worn a maid outfit, and they had sex at school, but that was because his face and headband at the time were too adorable and cute. And also because he only intended for others to see him like that, not him, which made him furious enough to pin him down and do it.
But women’s lingerie… it really wasn’t his taste. Cheon Sejoo was about to open his mouth to hint at it but stopped. Anyway, he didn’t think Sejin would go that far for him out of love.
Beneath his exterior, Cheon Sejoo was actually quite conservative and somewhat old-fashioned. If he actively teased him, Sejin would easily soften, but once he felt something was wrong, he would resolutely keep his distance. Someone like Sejin would surely never willingly wear women’s lingerie for him.
Anyway, putting all that aside… The fact that Sejin thought so deeply just for him made Cheon Sejoo find him truly adorable.
“Sejin.”
“Yeah.”
As he softly called his name, Sejin immediately turned his head, their eyes meeting. In those sharp, somewhat sensitive and beautiful eyes, infinite love and trust for him shone. Cheon Sejoo looked directly into those eyes, softly whispering in his mind. Sejin was so adorable it was unbearable.
However, on Christmas Day, they had a perfectly normal day. Although they stayed at a hotel together, Sejin was as usual, and if anything could be called an “event,” it was only Cheon Sejoo spreading fresh cream all over him.
Could it be his birthday instead of Christmas?
But December 29th was Kim Hyun Kyung’s death anniversary, and only three days later was January 1st. Would Sejin be in the right frame of mind to do something so bold? The question lingered in his mind, but Cheon Sejoo could only wait in silence. He didn’t want to spoil the sweet surprise Sejin was preparing by acting as if he had already guessed it.
[Are you staying until 10 PM today too? I’ll be off work around then. I’ll come to the library.]
21:02
Lately, DG’s “real strategy room” was located in a hotel in Yongsan-gu. Cheon Sejoo loosened his tie, ran a hand through his hair, and sent a message to Sejin before putting his phone into his jacket pocket.
“Are you sure about Reporter Kim from Hankook Ilbo? Do we need to reconfirm so he doesn’t back out at the last minute?”
“Yes, I’ll meet him in person.”
In the living room of the Presidential Suite, there was a meeting table large enough for 20 people. On the table were scattered stacks of documents and photos, and on the wall was a large pin board with a diagram of the personnel relationships of their target, SG Industry, and complex threads beneath showing the internal organizational structure.
This was Cheon Sejoo’s job in the strategy room. He and his team planned and meticulously calculated every move to acquire the businesses Shin Gyo Yeon targeted.
The eight-person team included M&A experts, veteran reporters from famous daily newspapers, and even a lawyer who had been a Supreme Court judge. The elite team made others wonder how they were recruited. Everyone was intelligent and knowledgeable. Compared to them, Cheon Sejoo’s academic record was nothing more than a scrap of paper.
Yet, they all listened to him implicitly. His cold, sharp appearance was enough to make many men envious, and his superior comprehension and leadership abilities meant no one in the group dared to underestimate him.
Initially, there were a few clashes, but they were fleeting. Now, two years after joining, Cheon Sejoo had completely taken control of the strategy room.
Tomorrow, everything they had prepared would explode, and SG’s stock would turn into waste paper. Shin Gyo Yeon didn’t care about the company’s value; his goal was the prime land in the largest industrial complex in the country that SG owned.
If he could complete this deal before the year ended, he could take a break for a while, perhaps even manage a week of travel. As he thought about it, Cheon Sejoo focused on finishing the last bit of work.
When he left the hotel, it was about ten minutes before 10 PM, the time Sejin finished his studies. The day after Christmas, the wind outside was bone-chilling, and the dry cold carried a frost warning across the city. Even with the heater on, the fog on the car windows didn’t dissipate. Cheon Sejoo drove carefully, heading towards Sejin’s school.
[I’m waiting in front of the library.]
22:12
It was late at night, and the roads were sparse. Soon, Cheon Sejoo entered Sunchon University campus, parked right in front of the library, and waited for Sejin.
Lately, Sejin had been studying very hard. Since the second semester, he had been holed up in the library almost every day of the week. The nursing field had a vast amount of knowledge, and everyone worked hard to get into large hospitals, so keeping up was incredibly difficult, yet Sejin persevered without giving up.
In the first semester of his freshman year, he was only average, but in the next semester, he made it into the top 10 of his class. By the first semester of his sophomore year, he even climbed to 5th place. The more he studied, the clearer Sejin’s strategy became.
Cheon Sejoo chuckled, recalling Sejin frowning and asking him about anatomy. The way Sejin complained about why body parts were named that way was truly too adorable. Thinking of his sulking face as he mumbled terms that sounded nothing like words, he could laugh even in his sleep.
While waiting for Sejin, he unconsciously looked down at his watch, 22:21. Sejin should have been out by now, but there was still no sign of him.
He frowned and checked his phone, but the message sent 10 minutes ago was still unread. What to do? Cheon Sejoo thought for a moment, then turned on the hazard lights, drove into the parking lot, and walked quickly towards the library.
The path from the back parking lot of the library had access control devices to prevent unauthorized entry. Cheon Sejoo glanced at the CCTV recording him, rummaged in his jacket pocket as if looking for a card, then shrugged and lightly jumped over the barrier. At this hour, no one would suspect a person in business attire looking for a card. Even if he encountered security, he was confident enough to blind them.
Once inside, Cheon Sejoo smiled politely at the students who were secretly glancing at him as if he were a lecturer, then walked to the elevator. He pressed the floor for reading room number 5 where Sejin usually studied. Sejin must have been too tired and fallen asleep, he intended to go in person and wake him up.
But when he stepped out of the elevator, what greeted Cheon Sejoo was not the familiar silence of the reading room, but a deafening noise. He frowned at the unpleasant sound, then quickly walked towards the bookshelves.
“Damn it, let go! I told you to let go!”
“Stay still!”
When he turned the corner of the hallway, a chaotic scene met his eyes. A crowd had gathered in front of the book borrowing counter. A female staff member, who seemed to be the manager, stood with her hands on her hips, her face grim; next to her was another student who looked extremely annoyed. Further into the reading area, students were craning their necks to listen.
Everyone’s eyes were fixed on Sejin and a security guard who were restraining a short man.
“Did you call the police?”
“Call what?! I didn’t do anything!”
“They’ve been called, they’re coming soon.”
Each time the man struggled, Sejin frowned and held his arm tighter. What the hell was going on? Cheon Sejoo was about to step forward but then stood still in the corner, observing. Since the police were coming, he couldn’t easily reveal himself.
Meanwhile, the conversation continued.
“What do you mean, you didn’t do anything? You clearly secretly took pictures!”
“If you really didn’t do anything, just say no, why did you run away?”
“The police will tell everything when they arrive, the police will tell!”
