March Novel (Completed) - Chapter 29
“What is this….”
Sehwa looked at himself in the mirror on the bathroom door, his face crumpled in dismay.
“It’s not even a hotdog wrapper.”
After more than two weeks of wearing only a shower gown, he was finally allowed clothes. However, there were two problems. First, he still wasn’t given underwear, and second, the dark brown top was at least twice his size. The bottoms were tight, beige pants, so overall, he looked exactly like a wooden stick stuck inside a hotdog wrapper.
Last night, when Gi Taejeong mumbled that he tried to respect his tastes, Sehwa wondered what he was talking about… Could this be it? Sehwa felt a bit wronged. Of course, he admitted that his first impression must have been quite strong. But that was just one of his ploys to avoid inspection, not an indication of his actual taste.
“Oh, honey, you’re out….”
Gi Taejeong, who was biting into an apple, turned around and gave a small cough. His mouth twitched, so it was clear he’d given him these clothes just to tease him. Sehwa knew he was a man who could turn scary at the slightest provocation, and he was trying his best not to act arrogant—as Gi Taejeong would put it—but with his blatant reaction, Sehwa couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.
“Hmm, yes…. It suits you well.”
“Director. I like normal clothes. The strange outfit I was wearing when we first met was a kind of trick….”
“Then think of this as a similar trick.”
“What do you mean….”
“I told you we’d go on a business trip together when I got back.”
Only then did Sehwa notice the bustling scene in the office. Several large makeup boxes were piled near the sofa, and right next to them, Lieutenant Park was analyzing something with multiple holograms floating around him. The rest of the people were gathered around a table with serious expressions, and in their bickering, Sehwa thought he’d heard his name mentioned.
“What is this, huh!”
Curious, Sehwa tiptoed closer and shrieked, jumping as if struck by lightning when he saw a human face placed squarely on the sofa table. He had seen dead people several times, but it was his first time seeing someone so cruelly flayed. And they were just exhibiting it on the table and whispering about it so casually….
“No matter what, a c-corpse….”
“No.”
“A face, flayed….”
“I said no.”
Gi Taejeong grabbed Sehwa by the scruff of his neck, trembling, and squeezed through the crowd.
“Sit down. It’s special effects makeup, so stop talking nonsense.”
“…Makeup?”
“Yep. We need to infiltrate somewhere, just the two of us.”
“But both my face and your face are quite noticeable, aren’t they?” Gi Taejeong said, winking. Sehwa pressed his hot cheeks with the back of his hand. He was so nonchalantly boasting about his face…. It seemed only Sehwa was embarrassed. The people standing nearby looked unfazed, as if accustomed to Gi Taejeong’s attitude. Well, they were all his subordinates, so they probably wouldn’t dare to contradict what the Brigadier General said.
“Oh? Wait a minute. Now that I think about it, if we’re going on a business trip together, why am I the only one wearing these clothes?”
Sehwa, who had been internally flustered by his own embarrassment, suddenly remembered something and questioned Gi Taejeong. He was so wronged that he involuntarily slapped his thighs with both hands, and the air flowed into the huge sack-like top, making his body momentarily puff up like a balloon. No, it looked like it puffed up. Gi Taejeong could no longer hold back and laughed loudly, clutching his stomach.
“Director….”
“Ah… I’m dying. Hmm, it’s because the original owner of this face dresses in that style. And again, neither of them are dead.”
Perhaps worried that Sehwa might misunderstand, Gi Taejeong emphasized it one more time.
“Master Sergeant Choi. His eyes still look a bit swollen. Is makeup possible?”
“Yes. No problem at all with that.”
Gi Taejeong, still smiling, tilted his head.
“Hmm, still, your eyelids might sting a little.”
And there were no further words. It probably meant there was nothing he could do about the pain, so he just had to endure it.
Yesterday, in the midst of their sex, Gi Taejeong had given him expensive medicine, so he looked perfectly fine on the outside, without a single visible injury. His torn mouth was also back to normal. Only his lower back, which had been twisted and bent throughout by his large hands, kept aching. Gi Taejeong said that was just his brain mistaking it for pain because it was still caught up in the sensations, and that all the causes of pain had been resolved. If he didn’t focus on it, it would soon feel fine.
No, if that’s the case… shouldn’t a person be given time to recover? Yesterday, Gi Taejeong was a little naughtier than usual. He would scoop up generous amounts of whipped cream, smear it all over his cheeks and the tip of his nose, then kiss and lick it off, only to quickly flip him over and spout lewd words that felt like a hammer blow to his head.
When he realized what he meant by “eating you both ways,” he shouldn’t have begged to do something else. It was a hole that got fucked every time anyway. He should have just quietly given in….
By the time Gi Taejeong ejaculated for the third time, and the number of times Sehwa had come was blurry, Sehwa completely lost consciousness. Before he blacked out, he thought he heard Gi Taejeong clicked his tongue faintly, but he couldn’t help it. He hadn’t been able to sleep comfortably and had been tense the whole time, and the sudden nonsense from his boss had pushed his stress to the limit. With his body also worn out in that state, Sehwa had no way of enduring it.
And when he came, it was morning. Specifically, he was lying with his cheek on Gi Taejeong’s firm chest. Rolling his eyes, he saw it was still that awful bedroom, and on the sofa table was a lunchbox he liked. His body, which had been dirty with all sorts of fluids and creams, was clean and dry without a single sticky spot. Sehwa couldn’t endure it anymore and sprang up. It felt like sharp needles were constantly pricking his heart.
“Does this really work?”
Embarrassed by recalling what had just happened, Sehwa mumbled pointlessly. The people carefully applied facial skin. Were they trying to read Gi Taejeong’s mood? No one responded to him, so Sehwa hunched his shoulders, looking dejected and shrunken.
“It doesn’t show at all. I’ve cross-dressed a few times myself.”
“Cross-dressed? You, Director?”
At least Gi Taejeong interjected, so he wasn’t more embarrassed… but the content was so absurd that his voice naturally got louder. Cross-dressed? Gi Taejeong cross-dressed?
“There were situations where only I could infiltrate. I had to kill everyone and get out alone.”
Gi Taejeong’s height and physique were extraordinary. He was noticeably tall, and even with clothes on, his well-proportioned body stood out. While not overtly muscular, still…. No matter how he looked, Sehwa couldn’t believe he cross-dressed and carried out missions, let alone succeeded multiple times.
“Why. Interested?”
“Huh? Oh, no. I just find it fascinating….”
Gi Taejeong, who was getting his makeup done with his legs crossed, chuckled as if a good idea had just come to him.
“If we finish this job well and get back, I’ll do it for you as a reward.”
“Do what?”
“It seems you want me to cross-dress and fuck you.”
Sehwa couldn’t help but squirm at the shocking words. The people working carefully gave a ‘shhh’ of warning, so he slumped back onto the sofa, but….
“I, I don’t have such strange hobbies!”
“I thought you liked that kind of thing because it was the first time you showed interest in me.”
Gi Taejeong pouted, saying he had a somewhat heartless side. He wasn’t truly sulking; he was just teasing Sehwa.
Sehwa closed his eyes again, as if to say it wasn’t worth talking about. Heartless. That’s what he wanted to say. Now that he thought about it, Gi Taejeong called him “honey” but had never once called him by his name. He would suck on his nipples and ass but wouldn’t kiss him. And despite all that, he’d say he only wanted to do it with him and spout ridiculous things about… making him pregnant.
“While I was away, I checked the presumed location where Kim Seokcheol hid the finished products….”
Sehwa, who had been thinking about Gi Taejeong and kissing, refocused his mind. Gi Taejeong had his eyes closed, so he wouldn’t have seen his blank face, but he still felt a little embarrassed. Being teased for closing his eyes while trying to gauge the atmosphere before seemed to have been more deeply ingrained in his mind than he thought. Know your place. Sehwa firmly engraved the four words Gi Taejeong had ordered him to remember into his heart.
“It wasn’t difficult since the likely places were obvious.”
“You’re going there? With me?”
“Yep.”
From the start, the places where drugs could be stored were limited. It had to be out of sight, of course, and humidity was also important. At the same time, it had to be convenient for transporting the drugs. This meant there had to be a transport route nearby, whether a port or helicopter facility. Above all, considering the movements of that lazy pig Kim Seokcheol, who wanted to move things easily, the answer quickly emerged.
Unused military facilities. There would be no safer place, nor a better environment to store something. Coincidentally, several facilities were idle due to the reduction of army troops, and searching the outskirts easily led to clues.
“Ah… Is that why you told me to practice decanting the drugs? Are we going to take the drugs out today?”
“Oh, correct.”
Sehwa was flustered. A bigger task than he expected had been given to him. Since Gi Taejeong wouldn’t be going there by invitation from Lieutenant Kim, they would obviously have to steal them….
“If that’s the case, wouldn’t it be safer if I made them here? After all, that finished product was probably produced based on what I manufactured….”
“The point is that Lieutenant Kim hid illicit goods there. What we take out today will be the evidence. I’ll take care of the rest, so….”
Gi Taejeong put on colored contact lenses and blinked. With one eye a different color, a subtly different atmosphere emanated from him. The man in front of him, who looked like a completely different person with just that much change, crooked his lips into a lopsided smile.
“You just fill exactly five syringes. That’s all you need. Got it?”
Sehwa touched his cheeks and neck. On the outside, there were no visible lines, but to him, the person wearing the “skin,” it felt awkward. He still couldn’t believe no one had suspected Gi Taejeong’s cross-dressing, but the special effects makeup truly was excellent. With the lenses on, even his eye color was hidden, and he really felt like a different person. He should have secretly learned this skill. If push came to shove, he could put on makeup and escape far away.
“Uh, Director. You said earlier that these people weren’t dead.”
Sehwa, who had been continuously staring into the mirror, suddenly remembered something he was curious about and turned to Gi Taejeong in the driver’s seat. He had planned to ask after the makeup was done, but he had forgotten, mesmerized by his own reflection.
“That’s right.”
“Do you happen to know them? Borrowing their identities like this….”
“How could I not? They’re the top-tier criminals I caught.”
“…What?”
“They’re a specialized group of robbers, but they’ve stolen everything from cultural artifacts to security technologies and smuggled them out of the country. They’re bastards who deserve to die.”
“Uh-oh….”
Sehwa was confused. They weren’t dead yet… but they were putting on the faces and identities of top-tier criminals who deserved to die… to steal something….
“You, you said we were going to the place where Lieutenant Kim is storing the finished products?”
“That’s what I said.”
“…Can I ask where that is?”
“Hmm? Didn’t I tell you? It’s in Area 1.”
Gi Taejeong hummed a tune and checked the navigation. Soon, an alert sounded that automated driving was not possible.
“The shelter.”
“The shelter, then….”
“It’s a bit shabby since the army used it, but it’s still a military facility.”
Sehwa’s neck creaked like a broken robot as he turned. A military facility?
“Don’t you think it makes sense? Ordinary people can never access it, but that bastard Kim Seokcheol can easily go in and out.”
“W-wait a minute, Director. Are we currently going to a military facility… wearing the faces of top-tier criminals?”
