March Novel (Completed) - Chapter 17
Gi Taejeong let out a short, hollow laugh.
“That ‘thing’?”
“Huh? Yes… Making drugs, giving injections, that kind of thing. It’s not as grand as you might think, but…”
Sehwa’s voice trailed off. He emphasized several times that it was merely a crude trick he had learned for survival, not some grand strategy.
“Really? Then do it. Once.”
The mischievous command came out because he was curious if Sehwa was doing this on purpose. If choosing the phrase “that thing” and opening his eyes like that was an unintentional habit… then it definitely needed to be corrected. As Lieutenant Park said, it would be troublesome if he came back later with another man’s cum on him.
“To you, Director? Have you… taken drugs?”
“No. Just wash up first.”
Still, he patted his buttocks, telling him not to take out the cum and keep it inside, and a red flush spread across his white body, as if stained with flower water. Even the soles of his feet were pink. He felt like jelly and pudding to the touch… And yet, with such a body, he stabbed and killed people?
“Hmm. Now that I think about it, I didn’t get to cum on your face, did I?”
“B-but…!”
Sehwa, who had sprung up as if to say he had done everything he was supposed to, froze in an awkward posture, perhaps surprised by the sensation of cum starting to flow from behind him.
“I’ll check later, so clench your hole tightly. You don’t want to get hit, do you?”
His stern voice made Sehwa instinctively bring his hand to his buttocks, a foolishly cute sight.
He lifted his sleeve and sniffed; it seemed to be a new gown. He had washed up as instructed, but he still hadn’t been given clothes. Was it because he looked like he might try to escape? He had never even thought of such a thing. Gi Taejeong should have seen what happened to the guys who ran away from here to avoid paying their debts. Then, if nothing else, he wouldn’t have worried about Sehwa running away outside.
Sehwa had no choice but to walk out of the room wearing only the gown over his naked body. He wasn’t even given slippers, so he was barefoot. Gi Taejeong, and a few men standing behind him, were all neatly dressed in suits, but Sehwa alone was almost naked.
“Baby. I don’t like you acting prim during sex, but I don’t like you being loose all the time either.”
Gi Taejeong, who had been staring at Sehwa, chided him.
Then you should have given me clothes. Sehwa grumbled inwardly and tightened his waist tie. Gi Taejeong lit a cigar with a match, holding it in his mouth. He knew that cigars and regular cigarettes had different lighting methods. Among them, people who insisted on using special matches instead of a torch often had a prejudice of being perverts… Now, it seemed that wasn’t necessarily a prejudice.
“Anyway, I’m going to give you the antidote, so don’t think about anything else and just do what you do.”
“Yes. But as I said earlier…”
He was about to emphasize once more that it was a trivial method, but Gi Taejeong exhaled a long puff of smoke with a bored expression. He felt as if he made one more excuse, he would be branded with the cigarette in his hand. Sehwa nervously curled his lips and timidly sat on the sofa.
“But does Lieutenant Kim also know? How did you manage your clients?”
“Yes. He was a real client. Actually, at first, I didn’t even know he was a lieutenant. I thought he was just a carefree playboy…”
Gi Taejeong chuckled and gestured with his chin, and one of the men standing rigidly sprang forward like a bullet. Sehwa subtly rolled his eyes to check the man, no, all the people standing behind him. Lieutenant Park wasn’t there… and the people who had sprayed water on him on the first day weren’t visible either. Had he really done something terrible to their eyes or tongues? To stop rumors from spreading?
He checked his tongue, which couldn’t be seen from the outside, then turned his head back, and Gi Taejeong was staring at him with an expressionless face. Sehwa almost bit his tongue in surprise. He had thought he was just looking into the distance and smoking a cigar, but his gaze was straight, as if he had been watching Sehwa the whole time. When he gave an awkward smile, Gi Taejeong raised one eyebrow, as if he had seen all sorts of strange things. Then he put on a playful expression and mouthed, ‘Are you clenching well?’ Crazy bastard.
The sex, which Gi Taejeong said was very lenient, left deep marks on Sehwa. The lewd talk unsuited for his kind face, and the club-like dick, hurt Sehwa enough, but what scarred his heart the most was the talk of marriage that Gi Taejeong had mumbled unknowingly.
It felt like he was seeing Gi Taejeong’s true feelings without calculation for the first time. He said he didn’t want to hear annoying things and wanted to see the higher-ups get upset. Hearing that, Sehwa keenly realized how insignificant he was to Gi Taejeong. A lower-class person who could be conveniently used and discarded. It was shameful and miserable to spread his legs and drip fluid under someone who treated him like that. Moreover, it was all due to his own foolish trick that he had fallen for.
Still, looking at the bright side, it wasn’t a complete loss. Gi Taejeong also had superiors he couldn’t defy. Considering that a person who would ignore even a head of state was annoyed but still couldn’t do anything, it seemed he had pledged loyalty in exchange for a high rank.
Whether it was an order from above or a desire to look good to his superiors, Gi Taejeong was clearly in a situation where he absolutely had to apprehend Lieutenant Kim… and if so, he would definitely need his help. That was enough. He had insisted on sex with him even after talking about an offer. Now, what he could trust was not Gi Taejeong’s tongue, but objective facts.
“Baby.”
He was trying to cheer himself up by patting his cheeks with a smacking sound, when Gi Taejeong called him boredly. It was a warning to focus and do what he was told.
“I’ll do it now. But this person already knows what I’m going to do.”
“Your client probably knew roughly too. Even if he didn’t know he’d die.”
“I didn’t kill them all…”
“I told you to act cute, not to be insolent.”
Sehwa obediently lowered his eyes. “Please sit here,” he said, gesturing to the opposite seat, and the man stiffly walked over and sat down. His hands were clenched on his knees, and his back was ramrod straight. It was impossible not to know he was a soldier, he was so disciplined. Perhaps the influence of the scary superior behind him was also significant.
“Can I see your wallet?”
At Sehwa’s sudden request, the man looked at Gi Taejeong. He just exhaled smoke without a word. It was permission.
“It’s prepaid.”
Sehwa took all the cash out of the wallet. He also subtly slipped out a suspiciously shiny object. He didn’t know if it was a card or an ID, but if he brought it this far, it must be important. Sehwa pretended to count the money and stuffed both the money and the card into his gown pocket.
“Normally, with this money, I don’t even do the manufacturing? I also have to set aside the syringe cost separately… but since it’s your first time, I’ll just do it for you today. Please come back later.”
He didn’t really need to say such things, but he rattled on, thinking Gi Taejeong might find it amusing. Sehwa clapped his hands together before starting. It was to show that he had nothing to hide.
“I’ll go with something closer to a sleeping pill than a drug.”
The man didn’t respond. He didn’t seem to be too happy with the situation. Well, it was understandable. He was dragged to a House outside the city walls, a place he probably never even thought of visiting, and suddenly became a test subject. Well, it was a familiar situation for Sehwa. Anyway, the more they underestimated and looked down on him, the easier it was to play tricks… Oh.
“…Oh, I’m sorry. I was calculating. I’ll continue.”
Sehwa, who had been bustling inwardly, thought that perhaps Gi Taejeong had chosen this subordinate knowing his tendencies. Remembering his earlier words about it being easier with someone who let their guard down and underestimated him, had he assigned someone who best fit the criteria?
“It varies slightly from person to person, but you’ll feel a bit hazy and then fall asleep right away.”
Sehwa tucked his long, unkempt hair behind his ears and asked for help from the man who was staring blankly.
“Then could you tear this here? You need to confirm it’s a new product yourself.”
As he pulled the top of the drug-filled plastic bag taut to create space, the man plunged a small knife he had into it. He would have been more sincere if he were slitting the belly of a piggy bank.
“Oh, while you’re helping, this too.”
Sehwa, unconcerned, pointed to the patch dangling around his neck.
“If I have this on while making the drug, I feel like I’ll make a mistake.”
Gi Taejeong, who had been watching from behind, placed the cigar he was smoking in the holder. It seemed he intended to come and remove it himself. Sehwa hesitated for a moment, then shook his head briefly and looked at the man in front of him with resolute eyes.
“I’m talking to the client right now.”
The corners of Gi Taejeong’s long eyes twitched subtly. What emotion did he hold? Although he acted boldly, he was so intimidated that he couldn’t properly look at him.
“Not you, Director. Please, the client do it.”
But to move to the next stage, he needed the man sitting in front of him, not Gi Taejeong. Only if that man approached him could he successfully complete this simulation.
