Lick Me Up If You Can Novel (Completed) - Chapter 97
“Aaaah!”
At the hand gripping his bare skin, Koi shrieked loudly. Immediately, he clapped both hands over his mouth and looked up at Ashley with wide eyes. As if to ask, What are you doing? But Ashley paid no mind, putting both hands in and kneading Koi’s butt cheeks, lamenting.
“Ah, I don’t want to part.”
The next class was approaching. Koi’s face turned red, and he didn’t know what to do with himself, looking down at his butt where Ashley was fumbling. He sympathized with Ashley’s words but was too distracted by his butt to think of anything to say. At Koi’s reaction, Ashley frowned and asked.
“Koi, you don’t feel anything?”
“Eek!”
As if punishing him, Ashley squeezed his butt hard, and Koi shrieked again, startled. Haa, haa, unable to control his quickening breaths, he panted and trembled, feeling his vision spin, then hesitantly replied.
“I, I don’t, wan, want to part either.”
“Right?”
Ashley loosened his grip on his butt. But he certainly didn’t let go. Instead, Ashley gently kneaded it and sighed above his head, muttering.
“I wish we could stay together.”
“Me, too.”
This time, Koi also replied without delay. He tried to focus his attention on Ashley’s words, trying to respond, while struggling to divert his mind from his butt.
“Me too, I don’t want to part and want to stay together.”
This time, he spoke without stammering, and Ashley looked down at Koi.
“Really?”
At Ashley’s brightened face, Koi nodded.
“Yes, really.”
Koi felt the same regret about parting. He couldn’t describe how empty and lonely he had felt after they parted the day before. Knowing Ashley felt the same gave him a little courage.
“Um, I was thinking something…”
As he carefully began, Ashley stopped his hands and looked down at him. Even then, his hands were still on Koi’s butt, and Koi tried to ignore them as he continued.
“Um… when we graduate…”
Ashley’s eyes sparkled.
“Koi, you thought that too?”
“Huh? Oh…”
Koi, who had answered inadvertently, belatedly opened his eyes wide.
“You, you too?”
Ashley then smiled brightly and replied.
“Of course.”
“I see.”
Looking down at Koi’s face, shining with overwhelming joy, Ashley felt his heart about to burst. We were thinking the same thing. As expected, our hearts are connected because we’re in love.
“Koi.”
“Ash.”
The two almost simultaneously blurted out their next words.
“Let’s get married.”
“Let’s live together.”
Having spoken at once, the two still smiled as they looked at each other.
“Huh?”
“…What?”
It was only then that they realized something was off. Koi blinked blankly, and Ashley frowned as they stared at each other. Belatedly understanding each other’s words, their expressions changed dramatically.
“M-m-m-marriage?”
Koi, whose face quickly turned bright red, stammered and jumped up. Seeing this, Ashley’s heart sank even further, and his face twisted.
But Koi wasn’t in a situation to care about that right now. Startled by the bombshell, he almost instinctively recoiled, but Ashley immediately grabbed his butt, preventing his escape.
“Why? You don’t want to marry me?”
Ashley asked, as if demanding an answer. Still trapped in his arms, Koi shook his head in confusion.
“N-no, it’s not that.”
We’re still high school students!
Koi, unable to control his pounding heart, hastily added.
“Marriage, it’s still too early.”
Before he could finish, Ashley cut him off, growling roughly.
“Too early? Are you saying you won’t marry me?”
“No, no, it’s not that.”
Koi vigorously shook his head. That’s not what I mean, he thought, hastily organizing his thoughts and speaking them aloud.
“Um, no, I’m not saying I won’t, but it’s too sudden, so, let’s just live together first…”
“So, if something happens, you’ll break up with me? Koi, are you really serious?”
“No, no, no, it’s not that.”
Koi was cornered. No matter what he said, Ashley found a loophole and attacked. This is the skill of Buffalo High School’s hockey team ace. Koi swallowed dryly, realizing it.
There was no escape. Koi had no intention of breaking up with Ashley, nor did he not want to marry him. He just hadn’t thought about it. When he honestly confessed, Ashley, with a stern face, commanded.
“Then think about it. Right now.”
“Uh…”
“Koi, answer quickly. Are you going to marry me or not?”
“Y-y-yes!”
Pushed by the force, Koi blurted out hastily. Ashley stared down at Koi’s face. Koi quickly nodded and repeated.
“I’ll, I’ll marry you, I’ll marry you.”
“Koi.”
Only then did Ashley’s face relax, and a bright smile spread. The hand that had been on his butt moved to embrace Koi’s body, holding him tightly without a gap.
“You’re mine, forever.”
“Yes, mmm.”
Koi replied, bewildered. He still couldn’t believe he had agreed to marry him. But what was even harder to believe was that Ashley had proposed to him.
“Do you really want to live with me? Forever?”
When Koi asked carefully, Ashley lifted his head, frowned, and asked.
“Of course, don’t you?”
His expression was serious. More than ever, Ashley was sincere. The moment Koi realized that, his pulse quickened, and eventually, his whole body felt like it would burst with excitement.
“Me, too.”
Koi replied in a trembling voice.
“I want to live with you too. …Forever.”
The last word was too overwhelming to even utter. Hearing that, Ashley’s face broke into a wide smile, and he tilted his head to kiss Koi. Koi closed his eyes, naturally parted his lips, and wrapped his arms around Ashley’s neck.
I love you, Ash.
His fingertips tingled with overwhelming emotion. He pressed his entire body against Ashley and repeated the same words several times.
I love you. I love you, Ash.
Class time was approaching, but neither of them cared. Wedding bells were already ringing in their ears. Ashley licked and sucked at Koi’s mouth, reaffirming the promise he had made countless times. That he would never let go of this small body in his arms until he died.
“Buffalo!”
At Al’s spirited shout, the cheerleaders followed with cheers, lining up. Koi clapped enthusiastically, cheering them on as they moved in perfect unison to the music.
The cheerleading team successfully finished cheering for the homecoming game without any injuries.
The rumor spread by word of mouth, and soon after, new members applied.
Of course, once new members joined, Koi’s role immediately ended. But Ariel and the other cheerleading team members didn’t seem to want to let him go.
“Instead, there’s something you can do for us.”
Koi was given a different task, not as a cheerleader. It was to take care of the cheerleaders’ chores. These were odd jobs like organizing cheering props or preparing music, but someone had to do them, and instead of recruiting new people, they chose their familiar ‘sister.’
It was a good thing for Koi too. If he continued to be active until the end of the semester, he would easily meet his credit requirements.
Actually, they could have asked anyone else to do these things. But they chose Koi. It was clear they knew his situation and were being considerate.
Koi gladly accepted their kindness, and after classes, he diligently helped them during their practice times.
“Here, water.”
He handed out pre-chilled plastic bottles one by one, and the tired kids, who had been practicing hard, gasped for breath as they took them.
“Thanks, Koi.”
“Ah, I feel alive.”
Koi smiled, feeling proud at the refreshing sounds coming from all directions. The homecoming party was over, and the season was well into its middle. Buffalo High School was once again a strong contender for the championship this year.
Because everyone worked especially hard this year.
Ashley’s face naturally came to Koi’s mind. They had been doing well since then. So well that it made him anxious.
When the cheerleaders’ practice ended, the hockey team’s practice would also end shortly after. Koi finished tidying up on time and then hurried to Ashley’s car.
“Ash!”
When Koi called out, Ashley, who had been leaning against the car waiting for him, straightened up and smiled brightly. Koi unhesitatingly ran into his wide-open arms and hugged him. Water droplets fell from Ashley’s hair, who had just finished showering. He could clearly picture him rushing through his shower and running to meet Koi.
“You could have dried your hair first.”
“It dries quickly.”
Ashley said that, then lightly kissed Koi’s lips. Koi smiled happily and accepted his kiss.
I’m happy.
“Let’s go.”
Ashley said, lifting his head. Koi replied, “Okay,” and with a bright face, got into Ashley’s car. Soon after, Ashley started the car and, as if it were natural, took Koi’s hand with one hand. Everyday happiness settled between them like that.
