Lick Me Up If You Can Novel (Completed) - Chapter 126
Ashley stood there silently. He had to take a deep breath to suppress the urge to rip off the blindfold immediately. Losing his temper would only hurt himself. Dominique would never lose his composure; in fact, he would mock Ashley for it.
Dominique remained silent for a while, facing his son, who was simply keeping his mouth shut in the greatest act of defiance he could muster. After a brief pause, the scent of cigar smoke grew thicker, and Ashley realized he had inhaled and exhaled smoke.
“You’ve been up to quite a cute little stunt.”
Dominique opened his mouth, his tone slow and leisurely. Ashley didn’t react this time either. Dominique continued as if it didn’t matter.
“For you to lose your composure and cause trouble like that, I don’t know what it is about that mongrel that you found so appealing.”
His voice was clearly laced with scorn.
“A piece of trash who can’t even manifest.”
Ashley barely managed to suppress a yell, clenching his fists. He had no idea what had happened since his arrest.
He needed to maintain his composure as much as possible and grasp the situation. For the sake of the next opportunity.
He vowed that he would someday, without fail, repay that man for insulting Koi.
Dominique watched his unresponsive son for a moment before bringing the cigar back to his lips.
He inhaled deeply and exhaled the smoke, then glanced at Ashley’s tightly clenched fist before shifting his gaze back to his face.
This masterpiece, so much like his Omega yet also bearing his own indelible mark, was the second most cherished being in Dominique’s world. Every time he saw him, a satisfied smile would loosen his lips.
Of course, that didn’t mean he would overlook defiance of his will. Dominique knew well that the more precious an object, the more harshly it sometimes needed to be treated.
Just as one relentlessly rubs and grinds the surface of wood with coarse sandpaper to create the most beautiful and exquisite furniture.
“I’ll forgive you this time. You must have reflected a lot.”
Dominique continued speaking as he pleased.
“Now go back to your room and rest. We’ll be returning to the East early tomorrow. You, of course, will come along.”
Ashley flinched for a moment. Seeing his undisguised agitation, Dominique added,
“I’ve picked out a few women who might suit you. It wouldn’t be bad to meet them slowly while you’re at university. They’re all Omegas, so they’ll be suitable for releasing your pheromones.”
Ashley just listened blankly, completely taken aback by the unexpected words. What on earth was he talking about? Surely, he wasn’t telling him to…
“…Meet other people?”
Dominique continued nonchalantly to his barely audible question.
“If you don’t want to release pheromones at parties, it’s not bad to choose a suitable partner and marry them. You can regularly release pheromones, and they’ll suit your fastidiousness.”
He chuckled, looking at the frozen Ashley, and asked,
“Surely you’re not saying you can’t because of some useless defect, are you?”
Ashley was flustered and tried to say something, but no words came to mind. As he stood there, completely frozen, Dominique leisurely pressed a button on the desk he was leaning against. The door soon opened, and his secretary entered.
“You called?”
“Escort Junior to his room.”
At Dominique’s command, the secretary immediately moved. She gently took Ashley’s arm and pulled him, and only then did Ashley flinch, as if coming to his senses.
“I’m staying here.”
He belatedly stated his will, but Dominique merely chuckled. The secretary, too, silently pulled his arm. Ashley shook off her hand and roughly retorted again.
“I’m not going to the East! I’m staying here! Don’t dictate my life as you please!”
“Mr. Ashley Miller.”
The secretary quickly restrained him.
“Isn’t it better to go back to your room than to be confined to the basement again?”
At her calm yet clear point, Ashley again stopped moving. Her words were right. There was nothing he could do.
If he caused any more trouble here, he would be thrown back into the darkness. Dominique could do that to him with just one word.
“…Let go!”
In the end, all Ashley could do was roughly shake off the secretary’s hand. The secretary, quick-witted, stepped back and spoke in her usual businesslike tone.
“Turn around, one step to the right, and then twelve steps forward.”
He had no choice. Dominique narrowed his eyes as he watched Ashley stumble and walk as instructed. The secretary gave Dominique a slight bow and then followed Ashley out of the study.
Once the door closed, Dominique was left alone. The cigar smoke he had held in his mouth slowly drifted out.
He had never imagined he would face the struggles of a parent raising a rebellious teenager. But this wouldn’t last long either.
Even if Ashley was somewhat rebellious, like his Omega, he would eventually kneel. Just like ‘Ashley,’ who gave birth to him.
“Ah…”
Recalling ‘him,’ his belly warmed again. Dominique narrowed his eyes and offered a faint smile.
“‘Ashley’ should have been here.”
He muttered to himself with a hint of regret, exhaling a deep breath with the smoke. Remembering his pathetic and lovely Omega, who could only scream curses at him, he suddenly wanted to embrace him and stir his insides.
<Someday, I will surely run away from you.>
If you can, that is.
Heh heh heh, his low laughter echoed eerily in the silent study. ‘Ashley’ would never escape him. Neither he, nor their son.
Because Dominique Miller never lets go of what he wants.
“Damn it!”
Left alone in his room, Ashley ripped off his blindfold with a harsh curse. Even in the dim light of the room, his eyes stung, but he kept his eyelids closed, waiting for them to adjust to the light.
It was still dark outside. That was probably why they had pulled Ashley out of the basement. If eyes accustomed to darkness were to receive the bright sunlight of the West directly, he might go blind.
His eyes, somewhat accustomed to the light that had seeped through the gaps in the blindfold, slowly recovered over time. Ashley opened and quickly closed his eyes several times before finally regaining some vision.
“…Haa.”
Following a belated sigh, he quickly began pacing the room. If he went to the East like this, he would never be able to see Koi again.
And marriage, of all things.
His mind went blank, not just alert. He hadn’t thought Dominique would go that far. He was clearly willing to do anything to separate Koi and Ashley.
That’s absolutely not going to happen.
He rubbed his face frantically with both hands, then stopped pacing and took a deep breath. Think, he had to think.
Calmly.
The same trick wouldn’t work this time. This time, he had to escape right in front of Dominique Miller’s eyes. With Koi.
…In that case.
He paced the room again, then stopped, sat on the bed, stood up, and pulled at his hair repeatedly. Time passed like that, and as dawn approached, Ashley finally sorted out his thoughts.
When the secretary knocked and opened the door, Ashley was lying in bed, asleep. No ray of sunlight entered the room, which was covered by thick curtains, making it as dark as night.
The secretary clicked her tongue briefly, then walked over to the bed.
“Mr. Ashley Miller, wake up.”
She said, gently shaking his shoulder.
“It’s already past 10 AM. You need to eat and start getting ready. Everyone’s busy right now, Mr. Ashley Miller!”
The secretary urged him again, but he didn’t react. The secretary frowned as she watched him, and Ashley let out a low groan.
“…I feel like throwing up.”
At his weak voice, the secretary flinched. Ashley continued, making a pained expression.
“Bring me some water and medicine. Quickly.”
“Medicine, you say…”
For the first time, the secretary hesitated. She was always perfect and quick in carrying out orders, but this was not easy.
Extreme Alphas had a superior immune system compared to ordinary people, so they rarely got sick, and thus medication didn’t work well on them. Ordinary medicine clearly wouldn’t work.
It wasn’t easy to get medicine for an extreme Alpha right now, but she couldn’t say she couldn’t. Because she was the most capable secretary of all.
“…I’ll look into it.”
The secretary said in a stiff tone and quickly left the room.
