Into the Rose Garden Novel - Chapter 20.1 Uncovering Secret Blossoms in the Dawn
As proudly declared, he spent all my time in bed with Aeroc for two days, excluding time for sleep and basic survival. On the first day, Aeroc endured stoically with a demure expression, but from the second day, he began to cry profusely, and by the third day, he was sobbing as if exhausted, completely surrendering his body and mind to Kloff’s desires.
Kloff was finally satisfied only after drinking his fill of the sugary tears extracted from Aeroc’s eyes and filling his body with his own semen.
Later, Aeroc groaned, finding it difficult to close his spread legs. It was Kloff’s job to carry the exhausted man in his arms to the bathroom and wash him himself. No matter how much Martha might object, he could not tolerate anyone else touching Aeroc’s body. If another Alpha were to do so, Kloff’s third murder in his life would likely occur within his own home.
After thoroughly teasing the exhausted man in the bathroom under the pretense of washing him, a knock was heard from outside. Martha, who had been single-mindedly devoted to work since his broken engagement, and whose temper was so foul that he seemed destined to die alone, finally brought someone home. Perhaps because he was very pleased, Martha, unnecessarily excited, left new sheets, towels, and bathrobes, along with simple snacks and drinks, outside the door. After bringing them into the room and placing them on the table, Kloff wiped Aeroc, who was sitting in a chair in the room, completely exhausted, with a towel. He quickly tidied up the sheets as well.
He laid Aeroc, wrapped in a large towel, on the bed with new sheets. Of course, there were no clothes. When Kloff also got onto the bed, Aeroc looked at him with a slightly fearful gaze.
“Are you going to do it again?”
“Why, do you want to?”
Aeroc, startled, shook his head slightly and looked around nervously. For someone who had even run away, terrified of being taken when first pushed onto this bed, Aeroc was surprisingly skilled at receiving another man. This might have been why Kloff had pushed him even harder out of anger. He was already boiling with rage, and the fact that he was embraced rather than embracing made him even angrier.
However, after completely staining Aeroc’s ambiguous scent with his own, Kloff felt somewhat calmer now. Moreover, Kloff himself couldn’t go on any longer. To completely rid Aeroc’s body of the Omega scent and replace it with his own, so that anyone could tell he was Kloff’s possession, he needed patience and time. Kloff stacked cushions and pillows to lean on and asked as if nothing had happened.
“Why on earth did you go there?”
Aeroc, looking a little bewildered, soon understood and replied in a hoarse voice.
“Because I needed something.”
“Not to roll around in bed?”
“Really. I went because I needed something.”
“What was it?”
No matter how much Kloff pressed, Aeroc refused to say anything until the end. His anger had subsided considerably, and since he already had Aeroc in his hands, he could overlook minor things.
Aeroc, utterly exhausted from dealing with Kloff for several days, ate the simple snacks Kloff gave him and soon fell asleep again. Since he hadn’t been allowed to sleep properly, he would probably sleep soundly for about half a day. During that time, Kloff held him close, constantly kissing his forehead and lips. As he brushed back Aeroc’s fine hair, whose eyes were a little dark from fatigue, a strange sense of déjà vu struck him, and his heart ached.
Looking at him, something like a very old memory seemed about to surface. The frequent nightmares were too vivid to be dismissed as mere dreams, giving him an odd feeling. Fortunately, neither the nightmares nor the déjà vu lasted long. No matter how much he pondered, he couldn’t recall anything, and even if he did, it didn’t seem to be a pleasant memory, so he soon erased it from his mind.
After holding Aeroc and kissing him until his lips were chapped, Kloff got out of bed when Aeroc had fallen into a deep sleep. He could overlook minor things, but not anything related to Aeroc. Kloff put on the clean clothes Martha had brought and went downstairs. She was just gathering laundry to wash.
“Martha.”
“Ah, you’re finally out.”
Her voice was unusually cheerful, more excited than usual. Martha placed the laundry basket on the floor and cast a suggestive glance.
“How was it? Was it good?”
“Martha….”
“If you’ve been doing it for two days without even eating, it must be rut. Do you think I’ll be busy next year? Should I negotiate my salary now?”
Kloff quickly shook his head at her far-reaching remarks.
“He’s an Al…”
He couldn’t finish his sentence under Martha’s expectant gaze. She was an ordinary middle-aged Omega. Although she was a straightforward and generous person, she was also inevitably conservative. He worried she might be shocked if he told her he had slept with an Alpha. When Kloff couldn’t continue, Martha nodded as if she understood.
“Yes. Before marriage, pregnancy is certainly a burden. But you even spent rut together, so when are you going to propose? As I’ve always said, I like people with blonde hair and blue eyes. How angelic would a baby be? Our children are all beautiful, but isn’t every housekeeper’s dream an angelic young master? I was a little disappointed that the master is a dark-skinned Alpha, but if the madam is a blonde beauty, there’s still hope.”
Martha waved her hand in the air as if dreaming, pouring out an emotional monologue. Kloff swallowed hard, watching her. How desolate the house had been after he announced his broken engagement. Recalling that time, it wasn’t wise to disturb this formidable housekeeper when she was dreaming. However, Kloff was also in a hurry.
“Martha, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but could you do me a favor first?”
“What is it?”
“Aero… I mean, the guest clothes among the ones I gave you. Please bring them.”
“Are you sending him away already? His clothes haven’t even been washed, and he hasn’t had a meal.”
“No, it’s not that. I need to check something.”
Martha soon took all of Aeroc’s clothes out of the laundry basket. Shirt, pants. The intact vest and jacket, she said, had been dusted, freshly ironed, and hung up. Kloff felt through all the seams and pockets by hand, but there was nothing special.
“Ah, the cloak?”
“It’s in the inner garden. I couldn’t wash it, so I dusted it off and let it dry.”
He thoroughly searched the cloak she brought from the inner garden. And in a hidden inner pocket at the top, he found something. He fumbled and pulled out something rustling; it was a few folded papers. Sitting at the table, he opened one of them. Inside were white pills.
He remembered that one of the dead men had sold Aeroc drugs. There weren’t many drugs worth buying alone in such a dangerous place from bad guys at that time. The drugs those guys sold were either narcotics or aphrodisiacs. Could it be narcotics? Or aphrodisiacs? Either way, he was equally angry and worried. As Kloff crossed his arms and glared at the pills with a serious expression, Martha, who had come over and seen them, blurted out.
“It’s an Omega rut suppressant.”
“What?”
“I said it’s a rut suppressant. It’s definitely it, seeing the small white pill with an ‘Ω’ mark on it.”
Kloff stared blankly at Martha, surprised by her unexpected remark. He had never imagined such a thing as an Omega rut suppressant existed, nor did he know Martha knew about it.
“Does such a thing exist?”
“Of course. It’s forbidden by law, but Omegas who do rough work on the streets often take them to avoid unwanted pregnancies.”
Martha folded the spread-out cloak and put the removed laundry back into the laundry basket as if it were nothing important.
“How do you know?”
“Try getting pregnant at this age. You can’t work. But you can’t live estranged from your husband either. It’s secretly sold among working Omegas. Sometimes even noblewomen get them. Contraception is better than miscarriage, isn’t it? Your partner must be a working Omega, then? Or perhaps their rut is unusually severe.”
At her words, Kloff felt his mind go blank. Far from being a working Omega, he was a jobless, idle Alpha.
While Martha did the laundry, Kloff sat in the drawing-room, seriously glaring at the pills. Aeroc of the Teiwind Ducal House was clearly an Alpha. Everyone thought so.
If he were an Omega. No, it couldn’t be. He couldn’t have deceived everyone. Although he had a slightly small physique and graceful lines for an Alpha, that was entirely possible for a nobleman raised delicately. His scent was also clearly an Alpha scent from his body itself, not just something that had rubbed off.
But Kloff had no choice but to doubt everything he knew. The reason was simple. What idiotic Alpha would knot another Alpha? Once he thought about it that way, there was more than one suspicious point. Had he really lived by pretending to be an Alpha when he was an Omega, or had he suddenly changed into an Omega one day?
No way. He must be an Alpha. He must be used to it from playing around with many Alphas due to the trend. The body changes as you do it. Surely not. The knotting might have happened accidentally due to extreme frustration.
He tried to think that way. But if, by any chance, he was an Omega…
“Oh, damn it.”
Kloff covered his eyes with one hand. Aeroc’s tears were sweet. He had confirmed it before, and more importantly, he had tasted it countless times over the past two days, so there was no mistaking it. A terribly sweet taste that numbed his tongue. Recalling that, Kloff let out a heavy sigh. And then he stood up.
The sight of the culprit who had tormented him for the past few months now sleeping peacefully on his bed was hard to believe. Kloff sat down on the mattress and moved slightly. Aeroc was still in a deep sleep. He brushed back the faintly glowing blonde hair, then traced the border between that gold and the white, pearly skin with his finger.
He finally realized why Aeroc had always bothered him. He understood why he felt annoyed and increasingly dissatisfied whenever he saw him. It was natural. If he wasn’t by his side, if he wasn’t his, it was natural to act so irrationally and eventually suffer such mental pressure that he would even cough up blood.
Stupid fool. This pathetic fool. Are you even an Alpha?
Kloff deeply blamed himself. And he held the hand of the person who had known this fact and hidden it, a cunning and wicked person, yet someone he could never hate, but rather felt a deep affection for, and kissed the back of that hand.
He stayed by his side, like a knight guarding his noble lord until he awoke. Once again, the blonde beauty, who woke up late in the afternoon, raised his upper body with his hair slightly ruffled from sleeping undisturbed, and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand. Then, belatedly feeling the pain from his lower body, he frowned and immediately shot an arrow of accusation at Kloff, who was sitting beside him, smiling.
“Ignorant pervert. An insatiable beast.”
Kloff laughed at his adorable grumbling, his voice hoarse. Aeroc, who blinked with wide eyes as if still surprised, soon pressed his lips together and averted his gaze. Yet, he occasionally stole glances, conscious of Kloff. He was unbearably cute, so Kloff pulled him into an embrace and tumbled him over.
“I… I can’t do any more…”
Kloff embraced Aeroc, who was desperately trying to push him away, sheets and all, and kissed him. No matter how many times he tasted them, there would be no sweeter or softer lips. They weren’t just soft but elastic and plump, almost addictive. Aeroc, who had been weakly resisting, soon gasped for breath and gripped Kloff’s shoulder as the kiss deepened. The slight tug on his clothes felt incredibly good.
