I Became a Slave to the Man I Abandoned Novel (Completed) - Chapter 20
“Tsk.”
As if still unsatisfied, he looked at the unconscious Nox and flicked his cheek a few times with the back of his hand. Nox remained motionless, and Khalid’s desires were still unfulfilled.
So, he shoved his long cock back in and began to move his hips. He liked the firm body that swayed with his thrusts, so Khalid held onto him and didn’t let go all night.
Nox woke up the next morning, impaled by Khalid’s cock. The blindfold was still on. Dried fluids clung to it, making it difficult to remove. As Nox struggled to untie the blindfold and pull out what was inside him, Khalid stirred awake, his eyes still heavy with sleep.
“Mmm…”
“Hnngh…!”
Khalid forcibly pressed down on Nox’s shoulders and slowly began to move what was still inside him. The dried cum made raw, tearing sounds as it stuck and pulled away. Nox’s body trembled at the sensation of being full, then empty, then full again, and he clenched his passage tightly with the renewed pressure of being driven into. Khalid, seemingly pleased by the tight clenching around his shaft, slowly pulled out his cock, then rammed it back in with a loud thwack, leisurely enjoying the convulsing inner walls.
“Hnn, a-aah…!”
Even as Nox pushed against the sheets with his toes, Khalid gripped his pelvis and wouldn’t let go. And he began to thrust inside faster and faster. Nox arched his back and trembled violently. Hoarse moans escaped his lips one after another. Finally, he came inside Nox and then released him.
As soon as he finished, Khalid abruptly stood up as if he had no further business, ordering his servants to prepare his bathwater immediately. And as soon as he heard the bath was ready, he heartlessly headed to the bathroom alone.
Nox shuddered, clutching the sheets as his passage felt as though it wouldn’t close. His entire body ached, and his insides were horribly damp and slick. He cast the robe cord, which had blindfolded him all night, to the floor. When he touched his eyes, his fingertips stung from the slightest contact. It was obvious they were red and raw, even without looking.
Between his legs, Khalid’s cum trickled down, soaking the sheets. Nox stiffened his shoulders at the ticklish sensation of it flowing. How much time passed like that? Khalid emerged from the bathroom, attended by servants, and said, “I’ll send a carriage for you at 5 PM today; take it and come.”
Nox, still unwashed, sat blankly on the bed, then looked up. He nodded without asking where.
“You know where it is and you’ll just come directly? Like an idiot.”
Ah, should I have asked?
“Where… cough, where is it?”
His voice was deeply hoarse. It must have been from all the crying yesterday. Khalid, either annoyed or simply no longer interested in Nox, answered without looking at him.
“His Majesty the Emperor is holding a Goddess’s banquet.”
At that, Nox flinched slightly. Khalid scoffed, continuing, “Everyone will take heed when they see a former grand noble reduced to a slave. To ensure they don’t end up like you.”
“Ah…”
Nox understood immediately. It meant he was being showcased as a warning to nobles who hadn’t taken a side. The heir of a ducal house, one who sat at the highest position, had fallen in an instant and become the new Duke’s slave—a fact to be presented to everyone’s eyes.
Nox slowly blinked, thinking it would be quite a painful day. He was despairing. Despairing, but he felt it was unavoidable. After all, all of this was due to the hatred of the child he had foolishly cast aside. If he hadn’t abandoned him, if he had been smarter and hadn’t pushed the child away in such a manner, he might have been peacefully dead by now.
“Do you understand?”
“…Yes, I understand.”
Nox’s voice was severely hoarse, but Khalid only frowned faintly, then left without another word. After he left, Marlene remained behind, simply telling Nox that new water had been drawn in the tub and that he should wash.
“The clothes you were wearing are ruined, so I’ll bring you new ones.”
“…Thank you.”
Nox roughly pulled on Khalid’s discarded robe and headed to the bathroom. From between his thighs, the cum Khalid had left inside him suddenly gushed out.
“Ugh…”
Nox quickly stepped into the full bathtub and, reaching inside, spread himself to scrape out the cum. His clotted fluid mixed with the water, turning it milky white as it gurgled out. Nox stiffened his body at the sensation but forcibly suppressed his emotions. This situation was his reality, and…
His moss-green eyes held a look of resignation.
After washing and neatly changing his clothes, Nox confined himself to his room. He had nothing specific to do in the mansion. He hadn’t received permission to go anywhere. A slave, like an object, was meant to stay quietly in the box their owner placed them in. Nox sat on the bed, momentarily staring into space, blinking. There was nothing to do until evening.
Nox felt he understood why Khalid hadn’t ordered him to do anything. And why did he have a separate room in the main building? He was isolated. Unable to communicate with anyone, unable to do anything. Until Khalid called him. Khalid intended to turn him into someone who could do nothing but lie on his bed when summoned.
Nox thought it was quite cruel, but he couldn’t complain to Khalid.
Khalid’s body had many scars. Even in the dim light of the dark room, he had caught glimpses. It meant that even after Khalid had been severely whipped and cast out by their family, he had endured many more injuries. I drove him away. That fact alone now held him firmly by the ankle.
“It’s not even funny.”
All of it, returning like a boomerang. His father had always believed he’d eventually pay for his sins with his life. But he’d never included himself in that equation. The arrogant Nox Rainerio had never once considered the punishment that might befall him. That was his original sin. The sin of the misfortune that child had endured. The sin of momentarily forgetting it. Nox spent his time just sitting on the bed, not even lying down.
The occasional sound of his breathing. His slow blinks. He was utterly helpless. The sense of powerlessness that had tormented him for so long surged anew.
The sharp edge he once showed when dealing with his father and other nobles was no longer needed. He was Khalid’s slave. When there was no longer a need to force his expressions, he simply sank. He was submerged. Down to that unseen bottom. A destiny where, without gills, he couldn’t even draw a breath in the deep sea, yet had to be grateful just to be alive.
Nox remained submerged like that for an hour, then two hours. Until the appointed five o’clock arrived, he did nothing but sink. It was the depression that had tormented him terribly for a long time.
An Unavoidable Reality
Knock-knock-knock—
As if on cue for the agreed time, Marlene came to fetch him. Nox hadn’t changed a single thing from what he’d prepared earlier, so he simply rose and opened the door. Standing before him was a woman with a cold expression and bright brown hair, her hands clasped in front of her.
“This way.”
She led him towards the carriage he was to take. Nox matched her pace, and they soon arrived at the carriage.
It wasn’t a carriage befitting a slave, but neither was it something a noble would typically ride in. It was, quite literally, a moderately luxurious carriage, suitable for a nobleman’s favored concubine.
Nox fiddled with the servant’s clothes he was wearing and the bolo tie that lightly constricted his neck, then let his hand drop. He’d have to get used to it anyway. There was no point in being bothered. From now on, it would be a part of him.
As Nox stepped into the carriage and sat down, it jolted forward. Inside, Nox sat upright, staring at the floor. He was still alone, his mind filled with thoughts.
How had Khalid lived all this time? The question he could never bring himself to ask surged like a tide when he was alone. Even knowing he would drown in that tide, unable to ask, he couldn’t stop. He let himself sink into it for a moment.
* * *
A long time ago, Nox had tried to find Khalid. It was exactly one year after the boy had been cast out. His mother was ill and bedridden, and his father was busy with politics. When no one paid him any attention, he missed Khalid so much that he asked the butler to find him.
The new servant who came after Khalid was the same age as him. Though their hair and eye colors weren’t alike in the slightest, Nox saw Khalid in that child. So he treated the servant as he would have treated Khalid. But the more he did, the greater the emptiness in his heart grew. Unable to soothe that void, that emptiness, Nox had finally resolved to find Khalid.
The butler nodded at Nox’s request, as if it were a simple matter.
“Understood.”
