I Became a Slave to the Man I Abandoned Novel (Completed) - Chapter 16
“Not exactly a pleasant memory,” the Emperor replied vaguely. Khalid fixed him with a stare, as if asking for clarification, and the Emperor lightened the mood with a soft chuckle. “Well, he didn’t look too good back then. But he still stood ramrod straight, hands clasped behind his back. He looked more noble than anyone. Though, considering what his father used to do, he probably wasn’t the cleanest sort.”
Khalid’s face twisted into a demonic snarl. He knew better than anyone what his father had done. Thankfully, he’d managed to shake off those childhood memories as he’d grown stronger, but even now, the thought of it made his blood run cold. And it was even worse because another memory invariably followed.
It’s okay, I’m not going anywhere.
Those arms that had gently held him, that tender voice. Khalid gritted his teeth and stood up, then bowed to the Emperor.
“Leaving as he pleases, I see.”
“I cannot impose on His Majesty’s time any further.”
“Indeed, you’ve become quite articulate.”
“I’ll take my leave now.”
“Very well. You’re like a brother to me, so I can’t really scold you, can I? Farewell.”
Only then did Khalid turn and exit the Emperor’s office. His knights followed close behind as he stepped out.
“Straight to the mansion.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Have Nox ready.”
“Understood.”
Khalid immediately headed for the mansion. As the carriage pulled to a stop, he opened the door himself and leaped out, striding purposefully into the estate. He scanned the servants who came to greet him, a frown creasing his brow.
“Where’s my slave?”
“Ah, we informed him, but he still…”
“Hah.”
Was this his way of rebelling? Exasperated, Khalid headed directly for Nox’s room. Behind him, the servants bowed their heads, their exchanged glances tinged with a hint of dissatisfaction. Their master was already difficult to please; now he was upsetting him further. Observing their meaningful looks, Marlene subtly creased her brows and clapped her hands.
“Everyone, back to your stations.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Understood.”
With the servants dispersed, Khalid, accompanied by his knights, reached Nox’s room and, without a moment’s hesitation, yanked the door open.
“…Ah.”
“…”
And for a moment, he was speechless. Nox, fresh from a bath, was in the process of shedding his gown. Khalid instinctively furrowed his brows and barked at his knights, a growl in his voice.
“Eyes down.”
Without a word, the knights averted their gaze to the floor. Khalid stepped past them, into the room, and closed the door. Left alone with Khalid in an instant, Nox stood frozen, neither dropping nor donning the gown still clutched in his hand. Though his back was to Khalid, the bite marks covering his body were impossible to hide. Khalid’s gaze slowly savored Nox’s form, sweeping from shoulder to toe.
“There’s no such thing as a slave who’s late for his master’s summons.”
At that, Nox slowly set down the gown and picked up the shirt he’d placed on the nearby table. He slipped it on as he replied, “I apologize. …I was getting ready.”
At the word “ready,” Khalid’s eyebrows arched. He walked behind Nox, who was just beginning to button his shirt, and cupped his jaw, tilting his head back. A sharp gasp escaped Nox’s lips.
“Ready, you say? What kind of ‘ready’ are we talking about?”
“That…”
Khalid let out a faint chuckle when Nox failed to answer. He then pulled Nox’s barely-shirted body flush against his own and let his hand drop. His grip firm on Nox’s waist, Nox couldn’t escape, gasping for air. Khalid’s hand brushed against Nox’s sensitive flesh, then a finger unhesitatingly slid inside. Nox’s body twitched, the tremor passing through to Khalid.
“Indeed, if this was the ‘getting ready’ you meant, I suppose you couldn’t help but be late.”
He pushed his finger deeper, roughly grinding against the inner walls. Nox’s body twitched ceaselessly, squirming in his arms. Khalid loved this sight of Nox—this situation where he was powerless, trembling in his grasp.
“Your finger…”
“If you want something, say it clearly.”
Nox struggled to keep his knees together in Khalid’s embrace, but the finger burrowing inside continued to scrape against his inner walls. His shoulder hitched. His face was a mask of helplessness. Khalid Via imagined the face he couldn’t quite see and bit Nox’s earlobe.
“Ugh…”
“Is it so difficult?”
Nox’s lips parted, and he finally managed to speak.
“Master… Please, take your finger… Hmph!“
Just as he asked for his finger to be withdrawn, Khalid pushed another finger in. Even after yesterday’s assault, Nox’s passage was tight. But it was different from yesterday, when it had clenched so tightly it felt like it would tear him apart. The passage, properly loosened by his fingers, was still tight but definitely gripped his fingers with a softer pull.
“Did you loosen it yourself?”
“Y-yes…” Nox stammered. He hated this situation. Hated being held by Khalid, his private parts being explored as if he were an animal under inspection. Nox twisted his shoulder, trying to break free, but then froze at a low growl from behind him. As he stopped moving, the low growl subsided.
“Ugh, ha…! Kugh!“
The fingers pushed deeper, pressing against a certain spot, and his body stiffened violently. Khalid rumbled with satisfaction, relentlessly pressing that spot. Nox bit his lip, trying to suppress the sounds for Khalid, who disliked hearing his own voice, but he couldn’t swallow all the moans that escaped his throat.
Khalid wanted to throw Nox onto the bed immediately. He wanted to force his way into that body again, just like yesterday, and make him sob until his throat was raw. He wanted to choke him, slap his cheeks, and pierce the spots that made him feel pleasure before he could even react to the pain, then curse him as a whore-like bastard as he helplessly whimpered. Khalid knew his own sadism well and made no attempt to hide it when dealing with Nox.
He pulled out the fingers that had been squelching and exploring, then finally released Nox. Nox nearly collapsed but managed to brace himself against a table.
“Change your clothes and come up immediately.”
“…Yes.”
Khalid left the room, leaving Nox alone. Nox let out a heavy sigh. It had only been two days since he became his slave. It was too short a time to accept everything. But Nox slowly began to button his shirt again and pulled on smooth trousers over his shirt garters. After buttoning his vest over his shirt and putting on his shoes, he tied a bolo tie. He was, by all appearances, someone’s beautiful slave.
“…”
Nox gazed at his reflection in the mirror with a strange sense of unfamiliarity. His straight posture, squared shoulders, and upright stance were considered the most perfect form in aristocratic circles, yet he was nothing more than a slave. He frowned slightly at the disconnect. He then turned away from his reflection and slowly walked to open the door. He began to head for the uppermost floor, where Khalid would be.
Every servant he passed whispered about him. He couldn’t even guess what they were saying. Nor did he want to. Was it mockery or pity aimed at him, who had been a grand noble just a short while ago? Neither was welcome, but this was his reality.
His steps were neither slow nor fast, but he arrived at Khalid’s room quickly.
Knock-knock-
Nox knocked on Khalid’s door. There was no response. Nox stood by the door, waiting until an answer came.
Ten minutes, then twenty minutes passed with no reply. Khalid wouldn’t have left his post during that time. He didn’t want to think about anything and didn’t want to think too deeply, so he simply stood there idly.
Click-
Then, the door opened from the inside. Khalid, looking as if he had just bathed, was looking at Nox with a slight frown.
“How long have you been standing there?”
“Twenty minutes, Master.”
“…I see. Come in.”
Nox stepped into his room as commanded. The curtains were all drawn, making the room dark, lit only by a magical crystal orb. In the faint blue light, Nox stared blankly at Khalid sitting on the bed. Khalid then tapped the space in front of him with his foot.
“Come here.”
Nox slowly walked and stood before him. Khalid nodded at him. Understanding the meaning, Nox hesitated for a moment, then slowly knelt before him. Kneeling between Khalid’s legs, Nox lifted his head to look up at him, and as soon as he did, his head was seized by Khalid’s large hand.
“Ugh…”
“Open your mouth.”
