Alpha Trauma Novel - Chapter 30. Teacher (7)
Minjeong’s face showed dismay, as if she had suddenly realized something. “If he’s an Alpha…” she muttered, then asked, hoping it wasn’t the case.
“Omega?”
“Yes.”
“Ah…”
Wooyeon blankly pulled down the shirt draped over his head. Dohyun’s pheromones were very refreshing, but the fabric obscuring his vision felt stifling. Dohyun draped the shirt over Wooyeon’s shoulders again and calmly met his gaze.
“Your pheromones are coming out.”
“…Pheromones?”
Wooyeon fumbled and clutched Dohyun’s shirt. Now that he thought about it, he had forgotten to control his pheromones at some point. As he frowned and reined in his pheromones, Garam let out a breath, looking a little more at ease.
“Hey… but is Wooyeon drunk right now? He looks perfectly fine!”
“He looked fine on the outside last time too.”
“I’m not drunk.”
“You are drunk.”
Dohyun stated firmly and brought over a water bottle. Wooyeon was rubbing his eyes, frustrated by his blurry vision.
“Don’t rub your eyes, drink this.”
A cold glass of water was placed in his hand. As if realizing it wouldn’t work otherwise, Dohyun even directly helped him drink the water. Wow, how kind. Wooyeon inwardly marveled and gulped down the water.
“You’re the only Alphas here, right?”
Minjeong stood up, clutching her phone. She picked up her bag and approached him.
“I’ll take responsibility and take him home. I’m sorry, Wooyeon. I’m a Beta, so I didn’t realize your pheromones were coming out.”
“I’m fine.”
It wasn’t Minjeong’s fault to apologize. Wooyeon was the one who drank, and Minjeong had only mixed the soju-beer as requested. As Wooyeon shook his head, Dohyun bent down in front of him.
“How many do you see here?”
Wooyeon slowly lifted his gaze. Through his blurry vision, he saw Dohyun holding up two fingers. Wooyeon didn’t answer, but instead grabbed Dohyun’s index and middle fingers, one with each hand.
“…”
Dohyun’s neat brow furrowed deeply. He tried to pull his fingers away, but Wooyeon instead whined with a tearful face.
“Why are you taking it away?”
“The kid is very drunk.”
He heard Garam click her tongue. Not content with that, Wooyeon even buried his forehead in Dohyun’s hand. The cool body temperature and refreshing pheromones made him feel utterly exhilarated.
“Wooyeon, pheromones.”
“…Ah.”
Wooyeon exclaimed and forced himself to rein in his pheromones. He hadn’t been like this during the MT, but strangely, his pheromones kept erupting. Come to think of it, his heat cycle wasn’t too far off. He had been so busy with various things that he had forgotten.
“Wooyeon, Noona will take you home. Let’s go.”
“Unnie, are you sure?”
“It’s fine. Compared to Park Seongjae, he’s small.”
“I’m not small.”
“No matter how small Wooyeon is, he’s taller than you, Unnie…”
“I said I’m not small.”
“…Okay, you’re not small.”
Dohyun replied gently and finally pulled his hand away. Wooyeon, having lost him in an instant, drooped the corners of his eyes. Seeing his unjustly tearful expression, Garam spoke coldly.
“Just give him your hand. What if the kid cries?”
“Say something that makes sense.”
Dohyun ran a hand through his hair and looked around. Seeing that he wasn’t giving his hand or even his attention, Wooyeon couldn’t suppress his unfairness and reached out. This time, it was Dohyun’s right arm he accurately grabbed.
“…”
Dohyun, whose arm was taken again, awkwardly bent at the waist. Wooyeon hugged the arm tightly, as if he wouldn’t let go this time. Dohyun asked in a soft, gentle voice.
“Do you know whose arm that is?”
“I know.”
“I don’t think you do.”
It was a conversation that felt like déjà vu. Wooyeon tilted his head to one side and rubbed his cheek against Dohyun’s forearm. Because Dohyun had taken off his shirt, he could directly feel his cool body temperature. Wooyeon just lifted his eyes and looked up at Dohyun.
“Can’t senior take me home?”
As he desperately lowered his eyebrows, Dohyun silently closed his mouth. Minjeong approached to persuade Wooyeon, but Wooyeon closed his eyes and buried his face again.
“Otherwise, I won’t go.”
If it wasn’t the teacher, he didn’t particularly want to follow. It wasn’t that he disliked Minjeong, but he didn’t like her more than Dohyun. As he fumbled and clutched Dohyun’s forearm, a careful hand rested on his head.
“Okay, let go of this. You have to let go to go home.”
Wooyeon hesitated and then let go of Dohyun’s arm. If it was a lie, he intended to grab him again. However, Dohyun checked if his phone and wallet were there, and even slung Wooyeon’s bag over his shoulder.
“I’ll go first, so please tell Seongjae hyung too.”
“…Are you sure you’ll be okay? Looking at Garam, his pheromones seem no joke.”
Minjeong frowned and gestured to Garam. Garam had been keeping her distance, unable to approach Wooyeon until now. Dohyun approached Wooyeon and tied the sleeves of the shirt he was wearing around him.
“I’m fine. My rut is far away. Wooyeon, look at me. Can you stand?”
Wooyeon grabbed Dohyun’s outstretched hand and stumbled to his feet. He swayed, but Dohyun quickly caught him. His vision was spinning, and he was in no condition to walk.
“I can’t walk.”
“Should I carry you on my back?”
“Can’t you just carry me in your arms?”
At Wooyeon’s words, Dohyun tightly closed his mouth. Wooyeon took it as a refusal and dejectedly lowered his eyes. He could be carried on his back, but not in his arms. It was utterly incomprehensible.
“I’ll call a taxi, so support him and come down first.”
Minjeong put down her belongings and headed out of the pub first. She probably intended to call a taxi and then return. Meanwhile, seeing Wooyeon leaning on Dohyun, Garam spoke sharply.
“He’s twenty.”
Her voice was low. The atmosphere also sank with it. Dohyun didn’t reply, but Garam spoke a little more forcefully.
“I trust you won’t touch him.”
“…”
Wooyeon blinked and lifted his head. With his drunk mind, he couldn’t understand what they were talking about. Dohyun gently stroked Wooyeon’s head and replied in a calm voice.
“I can’t touch him.”
Wooyeon only opened his eyes after being laid down on a soft bed. At what point he had fallen asleep, he didn’t know, but when he opened his eyes, it was an unfamiliar space. As he slowly moved his eyelids, a familiar face appeared before him.
“Are you awake?”
It was Dohyun. The teacher with gentle eyes and a single eyelid crease on one eye. His gently curving eyes meticulously examined Wooyeon.
“Looks like you’re not sober yet.”
“Where am I?”
“You really… shouldn’t drink.”
Dohyun spoke as if lamenting and sat on the bed. He carefully brushed Wooyeon’s bangs aside and gently caressed his round forehead.
“Who would believe it? That you’re this drunk when you look perfectly fine.”
“I’m not drunk.”
“You look at it.”
Perhaps because the surroundings were dark, Dohyun’s voice was exceptionally low. Wooyeon grabbed the hand on his forehead and brought it to his cheek. The cool body temperature helped clear his head a little.
“If you’re not drunk and acting like this, it’s a bigger problem… Do you know that?”
“I know.”
“Now that I see it, answering back is a habit when you’re drunk.”
Instead of pulling his hand away, Dohyun quietly met his gaze. Beyond his blurry vision, Dohyun’s pupils were visible. Wooyeon thought that his gaze held a slight heat.
“…I’m hot.”
“Hot?”
Wooyeon slowly turned to his side, braced himself on the bed, and sat up. As he looked around, everything was unfamiliar. The bed was unfamiliar, the ceiling was unfamiliar, the closet was unfamiliar, and even Dohyun was unfamiliar.
“This isn’t my house…”
“That’s right, it’s my house.”
Dohyun replied and tried to lay Wooyeon back down. But Wooyeon let go of Dohyun’s hand and crawled clumsily towards the headboard. As he leaned back and sat up, Dohyun withdrew his hand.
“I went to your house, but you didn’t tell me the password, so we came to my place.”
“Should I tell you the password?”
“No, it’s fine now.”
Dohyun shook his head and added with a serious expression. He told him never to tell anyone, no matter who asked. Wooyeon nodded obediently and grabbed his collar, flapping it.
“But I’m really hot.”
He had felt it earlier, but the room temperature was excessively hot. Or perhaps Wooyeon’s body was hot. The heat that slowly began to spread accumulated with each breath he took. Dohyun tilted his head curiously.
“Is he hot because he drank?”
“No…”
Whether it was because of the alcohol or something else, being hot was all that mattered. Wooyeon pouted his lips petulantly and clutched his clothes.
“I want to take this off.”
He hadn’t forgotten that Dohyun was in front of him. The overflowing pheromones were an undeniable presence. He just couldn’t make the rational judgment that he shouldn’t take off his clothes in front of him.
“Take it off?”
“I’m hot so I need to take it off…”
Wooyeon lowered his head and fumbled with his hands. At first, he tried to take off his hoodie, but he gave up because lifting his arms was too much of a hassle. Instead, he spread his thighs apart and reached for his pants buckle.
But before he could do anything, his wrist was suddenly grabbed.
“…Wooyeon.”
Dohyun gripped both of Wooyeon’s wrists and leaned him against the headboard. Dohyun, who had approached him at some point, emitted heavily suppressed pheromones. He looked Wooyeon firmly in the eyes and warned him in a low voice.
“Get a grip.”
It was clearly directed at Wooyeon, but the target felt ambiguous. It was almost as if it was advice for himself. Wooyeon tried to pull his grabbed arms away and whined with a tearful expression.
“It hurts.”
“…”
“It hurts…, let go.”
It was an obvious act of feigning pain, but Dohyun willingly fell for it. As soon as he released his arms, Wooyeon reached for his pants again. But due to being drunk, his movements were not smooth.
“Why won’t it…?”
Wooyeon even frowned, trying to unbuckle his pants. He gripped the button and pushed with his other hand, but it still wouldn’t come off. Left with no choice, he decided to ask Dohyun, who was in front of him, for help.
“Please help me with this.”
The corners of his eyes drooped sadly. As if truly distressed, Wooyeon with a tearful face grabbed Dohyun’s hand and brought it to his pants.
“Just the button, please unbutton it for me.”
