Alpha Trauma Novel (Completed) - Chapter 113. Side Story 15. Outsider (5)
Ding-dong—
He had a good night’s sleep for the first time in a long while. Perhaps because he had used up all his energy the day before, or perhaps because he was drenched in Dohyun’s pheromones, when he woke up under the warm blanket, the sun was already high in the sky.
Ding-dong—
“Ugh…”
Wooyeon groaned, tossing and turning his stiff body. Dohyun, who had been cradling Wooyeon in his arm, patted his back. Dohyun would normally have been up by now, but it seemed the previous day had been equally exhausting for him.
Ding-dong—
“Hyung… someone’s here.”
“It’s okay, no one’s coming.”
Dohyun replied languidly, burying his face in the pillow. The warmth, full of morning sunlight, gently brought on sleepiness. As his heavy eyelids slowly closed, he heard the annoying sound again.
Ding-dong—
“…”
Reluctantly, Dohyun let out a low sigh and got up. The thick blanket slid down, revealing his naked upper body. He kissed Wooyeon’s forehead, who couldn’t even open his eyes, and picked up the clothes on the floor to put them on.
Ding-dong—
“Who on earth is it…”
Click, the sound of the door closing was heard. Wooyeon barely opened his eyes to a slit and looked at the entrance Dohyun had exited. Soon after, the doorbell rang once more, and then the beep-beep sound of the door lock opening was heard.
“…”
Should I go out? That thought was fleeting. The muscle aches that wracked his entire body were too intense to get up out of mere curiosity. Wooyeon hugged the pillow, which still smelled of Dohyun’s pheromones, and buried himself in the surging sleepiness.
‘Ah, there… hmph.’
‘Here?’
‘Yeah, hmph, hmm…!’
Yesterday, the sex that followed immediately was much more relaxed than the first time. Wooyeon, burning with revenge, bit Dohyun’s neck, and Dohyun let him. After waiting for him to slowly leave marks, Dohyun quickly turned aggressive and pushed him to his limits.
By the time all the acts were finished, it was past noon. Dohyun’s drunkenness, as well as Wooyeon’s own sorrow from not having seen Dohyun for so long, had all flown far away. They had a light meal, and whenever their eyes met, they would make love, as if filling each other’s emptiness.
Given such a day, it was no wonder Wooyeon couldn’t get up. Every time he moved, he groaned, and he even thought that he would be in pain for two more days. Still, it wasn’t this bad when they did it every day. It was definitely harder because it had been a long time.
“…”
But why isn’t Teacher… coming back?
Wooyeon, half-asleep, slowly lifted his eyelids. He thought he could fall asleep right away, but with the person gone, it felt utterly empty. Even if he inhaled deeply of the pheromones on the pillow, it wasn’t enough to fill the void.
Eventually, Wooyeon gathered his heavy body and decided to go look for Dohyun. He planned to check who the visitor was, bring Dohyun back, and then go back to sleep. It was already broad daylight, but since it was his day off anyway, it was fine to be a bit lazier.
Even when Daniel came, Wooyeon woke up as soon as he realized the empty spot beside him. Even though he had slept alone his whole life, he had gotten used to Dohyun in just a few months. Now, when he went to bed alone, he would toss and turn for a long time before falling asleep.
‘I really shouldn’t have looked for a house.’
They say you don’t notice what’s there until it’s gone. Once he had become accustomed to the warm presence, there was no escaping it. No, even if he could escape, he didn’t really want to.
“…so…”
“You…”
As he put on whatever clothes he could find, he heard murmuring voices. He had thought it would be a mere peddler, but it seemed to be an important guest, important enough to let into the house. Wooyeon rolled up the sleeves of a t-shirt that wasn’t his and approached the source of the voices.
“I told you it’s not like that.”
Two figures were visible in the middle of the living room. Wooyeon blinked at the somewhat troubled voice. He wondered who it could be, to make his teacher, who rarely showed emotion, so flustered.
“What do you mean ‘not like that,’ Oppa, it’s not the first or second time you’ve done that.”
‘…Oppa?’
Wooyeon paused awkwardly and looked at them. He had realized who the other person was upon hearing the term ‘Oppa.’ Should he leave? The moment he debated, his eyes met those of the person in front of Dohyun.
“…”
Her single-lidded eyes widened. Her eyes, which drooped at the ends like water droplets, somehow resembled Dohyun’s. Not in appearance, but in atmosphere or expression. If Dohyun didn’t have two younger siblings, that person was probably ‘Jinah.’
“What… if you have a guest, you should say so.”
Dohyun abruptly turned his head. Wooyeon, unable to avert his gaze, furrowed his brows. It seemed too late to excuse himself.
“Ah… you’re awake?”
A troubled expression crossed Dohyun’s neat face. He winked his left eye, looking back and forth between Wooyeon and Jinah. In the awkward silence, Wooyeon finally managed to speak.
“I thought someone was here…”
His voice wasn’t normal. It was no wonder his voice was hoarse after crying and moaning all day. The object that had been at the back of his throat also played a part, but he had completely forgotten that fact.
“Please… continue your conversation. I’ll go back inside.”
Wooyeon subtly nodded and retreated. Dohyun had even drunk alcohol because he had fought with his sister, so Wooyeon couldn’t interrupt their conversation.
A low voice stopped Wooyeon.
“You don’t have to go inside.”
Jinah adjusted her bag and glanced at Wooyeon. Her gaze, sweeping from his disheveled hair to his oversized t-shirt, was utterly burdensome. Wooyeon covered his flushed neck with his hand and awkwardly averted his gaze.
“I just came to get something I left behind, then I’ll leave.”
Jinah, speaking without emotion, strode inside. Wooyeon, who had been worried she might go into the bedroom, was relieved to see her head towards the guest room. It was the same room Daniel had stayed in last time.
“Sorry, I guess I woke you up for nothing.”
Dohyun, who had approached, tidied Wooyeon’s messy hair. As he adjusted Wooyeon’s clothes, he traced the marks left on his neck with his hand. Unaware that he himself had a rash of hickeys on his collarbone.
“No, it’s not really because of you, Hyung…”
Wooyeon glanced at the room Jinah had entered, trailing off his words ambiguously. It was his first time seeing a lover’s family, so he didn’t know how to act. Especially since the atmosphere was unusual.
“You said you fought with your sister. Shouldn’t you wear makeup?”
“…”
Dohyun would normally say it was okay, but this time he just turned his head and sighed. Wooyeon read the worry on his face and asked, with a sinking feeling,
“…It’s not because of me, is it?”
“No.”
He answered immediately, but Wooyeon didn’t believe him. Dohyun softened his expression, as if to reassure Wooyeon.
“Why would we fight because of you?”
“…”
Indeed, what reason would his sister, whom he had just met today, have to be involved with him? A lingering uneasiness remained, but he couldn’t press further.
“Anyway… I’ll leave you two alone so you can make up. You even drank because of that yesterday, Hyung.”
Dohyun hesitated, but couldn’t easily answer. At that moment, Jinah, who had gone into the room, walked out aggressively. Her steps, full of intimidation, didn’t match her small stature.
“…”
Jinah headed towards the entrance without looking back. Wooyeon, flustered, looked at Dohyun, who reluctantly called out to Jinah. At the call of ‘Jinah,’ Jinah glanced back.
“What?”
“Wait a moment. I’ll drive you.”
“No, I’m not going home.”
“Kim Jinah.”
“Ah, what!”
Wooyeon subtly returned to the room, leaving the raised voices behind. As soon as he closed the door, the conversation was completely cut off. No, Jinah’s sharp question, “What does Oppa care about?” was clearly heard even through the closed door.
‘Why did they fight?’
As far as Wooyeon knew, Dohyun wasn’t the type to pick fights first. Judging by how he treated his juniors, he would surely be very good to his younger sister. Above all, hadn’t he said he tried his best for his adoptive family to adapt to his new home?
Wooyeon, filled with curiosity, opened the closet and took out the clothes he had left behind earlier. The clothes he had worn yesterday were stained with various things and couldn’t be worn. He took out a comfortable hoodie and shorts and put them on, which also somewhat covered the marks on his neck.
When he came out again, the two were still bickering in the middle of the living room. To be precise, Jinah was angry alone, and Dohyun was patiently enduring it. The one-sided argument seemed strangely off.
“Oppa, every time…!”
Jinah, who had suddenly shouted, bit her lip. It was because her eyes had met Wooyeon’s, who had come out of the room. Wooyeon, seeing her distorted face, slowly opened his mouth.
“…I think I’ll go now.”
“…”
“I think I’ll make you uncomfortable if I stay.”
He couldn’t stay in the room indefinitely when he didn’t know how long the conversation would last. He planned to go home first and wait for Dohyun to contact him. Dohyun also remained silent, indicating he thought it better to let Wooyeon leave.
“See you later.”
Wooyeon subtly nodded and passed them. He also nodded, meaning he was okay, at their worried gazes.
“Ah, so annoying.”
Jinah spoke the moment Wooyeon exited the front door. It was also the moment he felt the fresh outdoor air and realized the house was filled with pheromones. He was relieved that Jinah was a Beta, when Jinah strode forward and grabbed Wooyeon’s arm roughly.
“Kim Jinah!”
Dohyun, startled, shouted loudly. But Jinah closed the front door without looking back. Bang! With the sound, Wooyeon’s eyes widened, and his lips parted.
“What is this…”
“…”
Jinah silently dragged Wooyeon along. It was his first time being handled so roughly by someone, so Wooyeon didn’t even think to resist and stood in front of the elevator. Meanwhile, Dohyun, who had followed them, grabbed Wooyeon’s other arm.
“What are you doing?”
“…”
He was so flustered that his face had turned pale. Wooyeon, caught between the siblings, subtly frowned. Jinah pressed the elevator button repeatedly and warned in a low voice,
“Don’t follow me.”
